Walt Woodard is a 2-Time World Champion Heeler, 20-Time National Finals Rodeo Qualifier, and one of the most respected team roping clinicians in the country.
Born and raised in Stockton, California, Walt now resides in Stephenville, Texas, where he continues to teach team ropers of all ages and skill levels. Even after more than 5 decades in the sport, Walt remains an active competitor, continuing to rope at a professional level and proving that dedication, experience, and hard work never go out of style.
For more than 50 years, Walt has dedicated his life to the sport of team roping. His clinics combine proven fundamentals, practical horsemanship, and decades of professional experience to help students improve faster and gain confidence in the arena.
Throughout his career, Walt has taught more than 700 team roping schools around the world. He also holds the record for the longest span between World Championships, winning his second world title 26 years after his first—at the age of 52.
